Just finished 2 new uniques using some beautiful morrisonite that I bought the last time I was in Tucson. The brooch has made me so happy, it came out great and is now my new headline pic.
The necklace isn't too bad either. They're both coming with me to the States for a show I'm doing at my friends gallery...Thursday 17th November 6 - 8pm for a wine reception and I'll be there until Sunday with my recent studio pieces and my usual jewellery line... 1904 Fillmore St, San Francisco.

A couple of unique pieces. Poppies and garnets and a sandblasted black onyx.

My 'cinceles'...chasing tools...mostly made as needed while learning the technique of repousse at the beautiful Ex Hacienda el Chorrillo in Taxco which houses the UNAM bellas artes campus.
A wonderful time in an incredible setting, learning traditional mexican silversmithing techniques from some of the best silversmiths in Mexico.

Intricate leaves, delicate shading and garnet beads to finish them off, I'm rather pleased with these new earrings for the jewellery line.
A simple outline butterfly with amethyst bead and 2 new tree designs are the recent fruits of my labour.

  • February means Tucson and has done since my first visit in 1993. It was a brilliant time...saw old friends, met new ones, exhibited my work, got a great response and I came home feeling invigorated. Barely got my camera out but here's a few pics - a sunset to die for, three Aussies I love dearly and the Hotel Congress, my home away from home while I'm there.
